| Sea Circle
Charlotte Mayer 1984
This sculpture, sitting in the centre of a busy roundabout is a
relic of the rejuvination of Liverpool in the 1980's. Don't read
the description, just enjoy the piece. Sea Circle is an attractive
rendition of an amonite shell, a species now extinct from our seas.
The sweeping circles have weathered and worn in the wet Liverpool
climate and have a pleasant look about them. Sea Circle is only
a short walk up the hill from Lime Street station, and makes a refreshing
change from the ugly architectural disasters that litter this part
of liverpool.
