A Case History
John King 1998
What can easily be mistaken for forgotten luggage on the corner
of Hope street outside LIPA, makes up this original piece by John
King. A closer look reveals that the cases are made from some sort
of coloured concrete, and have inscribed on bronze luggage 'tags'
the names of famous Liverpudlians. Scrawled on the upright guitar
are the words "The Beatles are dead, but the music lives on". Never
mind Paul and Ringo, you can still enjoy this sculpture. Click and
drag on the box below to enjoy a Quicktime panorama of the sculpture.
